Citing the importance of “communication and collaboration” among employees as a basis for the ban, Yahoo states that this move is a part of Yahoo’s efforts to regain its standing and to become a best place to work. Perhaps a hallmark of modern day technology companies such as Yahoo has been the flexible, casual and informal work environments they have fostered – all with the hope of getting the best out of their employees.
